It began in the late 70s as a pop group of live students at St. Timothy College, Yaba, Lagos. The group, led by Victor Essiet released its debut album Surprise in 1979 and later followed it with Imagination. Both pop albums failed to make a tangible impact. The attendant frustration later split the quintet leaving behind Victor and one other member, Peggy Imanah Together with Peggy, Victor picked up the bits and pieces of the group and changed musical direction. Soon, in 1987, they headed for the studios and came out with a reggae album titled Crisis. The album became an instant hit bringing glamour and fame to the duo 1988 saw the release of another hit titled Rat Race with Rebel coming two years later. Born on the same day October 1, both Victor and Peggy are live-in-lovers and have two kids.
