Solomon Folorunsho was born in Ijeda near Ilesa in Osun State in 1946. He started his musical career under Omoniyi Ogunmodede a versatile juju musician one of the contemporaries of I.K. Dairo He formed his S. F. Olowookere and His Federal Night Eagles Band in 1963 at Ijeda. He later moved to Ibadan where he played at Independent Hotel and Assa Hotel at Ogunpa. He later moved to Oyo and performed at Merry Time Bar owned by Oyin Ogunmodede. He ended up in Lagos and played at popular spots such as Iyoha Hotel, Western Hotel, and May Flower Hotel all in Mushin. Olowookere who started as a Gonga Drummer is a guitar wizard with a Nightingale Voice. He had good hands such as Oye Olaleye a Bassist, Ilesanmi Alu on the Vocals, Aremu Oladejo on the Gonga, and other good

hands. S.F. Olowookere released many fine tunes such as ‘Kuluso, Odale A jiya, Afemi Afemi􀀯 but the record that really brought him to the limelight is Oge Gele.

Olowookere who was a regular guest Artist at the Stadium Hotel, Surulere Lagos for the past few years passed on in the year 2012.
