Dr.Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli (MFR) is a multi-talented maestro flutist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots. The icon holds a first degree in Economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland and combined this with a specialization in classical music concert performance and philharmonic composition, University of Lausanne.

Tee Mac’s rich career of over 40 years has taken him touring all over the globe and seen him working with such celebrated musicians as Nigeria’s Shirley Blessing as her musical arranger and conductor, a composer for Universal Films in Hollywood, Los Angeles, one of the pioneers of the Classical Music Society of Nigeria which eventually founded the Muson Center, Nigeria’s leading music school and many other roles.

He made a splash on the global music scene with two of his songs- Fly Robin Fly and Get Up and Boogie (owns 50% of the copyright) and toured extensively with his third band Silver Convention in the mid-seventies.

In 2007, Tee Mac was elected President of the Performing Musician Association of Nigeria (PMAN), investing time and energy into helping develop the Nigerian entertainment industry. He was awarded the member of the Federal Republic (MFR) national honor by the late President Yar’Adua in 2009 for his vital role in brokering peace with the Niger Delta militants and fighting for their rehabilitation. In 2011, he received an honorary doctorate degree in Arts from Bradley University in Illinois, where he serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees and teaches philharmonic composition as visiting Associate Professor.

Tee Mac is blessed with two sons, a daughter, and three grandchildren. An avid businessman too, Tee Mac is a player in the Solid Minerals industry, sitting as chairman and director of different companies.

He remains one of Nigeria’s most celebrated Classic music legends to date.
