The Atomic 8 of Aba was the resident band of Travellers Lodge Hotel, Aba. The band was formed in the Sixties under the leadership of Erasmus Jenewari and also the lead vocalist Douglas Chukwu Emeka Humphrey. They produced many singles both in Ibo and Kalabari languages. The leader Erasmus Jenewari later left the band and formed his Globe Kings Dance Band. The Atomic 8 Band toured many parts of Nigeria. They had many hits such as Mbom mi, Another Woman Dey, Chukwu Ekwela Ibe Kam, etc.
